Waterproof bins make great outdoor storage containers, and the wheels come in handy for transport. Storage Use for the Following: Recreation Equipment: bats, balls, rackets, hockey sticks, tents, boat oars, toys etc. Charcoal, firewood Tools: rakes, tree trimmers, mops, brooms, buckets Pet Supplies: food, bedding materials, kitty litter Items Destined for Donation (clothing, toys, books - in bags) Items Destined for Recycle Center (scrap metal, electronics, plastic bags...) Bulk purchase items, etc.... Transform to Compost Bin or use for leaf/grass clippings or finished compost storage Rain Barrels or irrigation water storage Planters - especially deep root like potatoes Mini fish pond Use bins for Yard Waste.Trash barrels that are 45 gallons or less can be used for yard waste collection by labeling them with a Yard Waste Sticker! Stickers are available at the Main Cambridge Library 449 Broadway on the trash cart display at the main lobby, or from the Recycle Center office, or request a sticker here. |
Arrange for Reuse through building materials donation centers, exchange websites, or social media. You may get more interest in towns that don’t have city provided bins such as Boston and Arlington; but neighbors may also want to take this opportunity to upgrade their yard waste bins or for some other use.
