Welcome, Friends of Imagine!
Help Reopen, Support, & Inspire Imagine's Future!
Each time we started getting ready to reopen, there was a new covid variant more contagious than the last. It is dificult at this point to know what dirrection to take for such a social, indoor venue. So sorry we have not yet gotten up and running. Please do still sign up if you might be interested in helping, because we will need your advise and help at some point!
The purpose of this group is to help influence the scope and direction of Imagine's future! The decisions we make will have a tremendous effect on what we can offer children, families, and the community. Our immediate goal is to gather a working group that would like to have greater influence on the imminent decisions and supportive needs of reopening Imagine in some form!
Initial decisions we will be tackling are:
When and where to reopen-
Our former space is likely to be under contract with the city to renovate for office space soon. With rent that has more than doubled and the ongoing uncertainties of the pandemic, this space is beyond what I can personally handle - though someone else or a group of people could take on the project.
Adding a second hand shop would be one of several options to help sustain the business through the pandemic - but this is labor intensive and would require volunteers along with staff.
Under current health circumstances, it may be advisable to downsize. We are looking at alternate spaces as well.
Many thanks to all who have contributed already to this effort in so many ways!
